Counts are rounded up to whole gummies. Red means more than 6 gummies a day, which is impractical and adds up in sugar and cost. Plant-only (ALA) gummies are excluded because they contain no EPA or DHA. Multivitamin gummies should not be taken in multiples: you'd overdose the vitamins before you got a real omega-3 dose.

Which target should I pick?

What's a sensible daily EPA + DHA target?

For healthy adults, 250–500 mg a day is the range most authorities point to (EFSA sets 250 mg as adequate; eating two servings of oily fish a week gets you roughly there). There is no official US recommended amount for EPA and DHA specifically.

When is 1,000 mg or more appropriate?

The American Heart Association has said about 1 g/day of EPA + DHA is reasonable for people with existing coronary heart disease, and much higher prescription doses are used for very high triglycerides. These are medical decisions to make with your clinician, not with a gummy.

Is more always better?

No. Large trials in healthy people show modest or no benefit for heart events at 1 g/day, and higher doses slightly increase the risk of atrial fibrillation. The FDA considers up to 5 g/day of EPA + DHA from supplements safe.
